CWJ held the glitzy and glamorous Summer Hollywood Ball on Saturday 5 July.
Staff and their partners were invited to dine and dance at the black-tie event set at the Neo-Jacobean building, with its fine tradition and history dating as far back as 861AD. The venue provided breathtaking views of Surrey as well as 205 acres of spectacular parkland The venue was decorated inside to fit the Hollywood theme and a trio played jazz and blues on the terrace during the Pimms drinks reception.

Guests were treated to a live swing band, joined by a Marilyn Monroe entertainer, while they enjoyed their three-course meal. Post meal entertainment was in the form of a disco, which allowed guests to dance the night away, and dance they certainly did! Although it was a Saturday evening, it must be said that many of the dance moves on display were not quite up to the standards of Saturday Night Fever!
The night also marked Senior Partner, Peter Giblin’s birthday. As it was a Hollywood theme, Marilyn Monroe sung Happy Birthday to Peter whilst he was presented with a cake and gifts.
Guests were encouraged to wear fancy dress to compete for the ‘Best Costume’ Oscar, which was to be presented along with various other Oscar trophy awards in the ‘CWJ Does Hollywood’ awards ceremony, hosted by Partner, David Greenhalgh.
