Amanda Mehlin, head of commercial litigation at CWJ, had the opportunity to play snooker with seven times World Champion Steve Davis. Boring he is not!
Steve spent the evening entertaining a number of guests who had all successfully bid at a Lords Taverners Charity Auction for the event, which took place at Buxted Park Hotel in Sussex.
Fortunately for Amanda, she was teamed with Steve for the doubles matches and not unexpectedly they easily beat their opposition team of Gary Sargeant of Gary Sargeant & Co and his guest Pat Curran.
Amanda secured the highest break of the match (out of the non professional players of course) leading to comments from Steve "that she had a natural talent" and that if she had trained from a young age she could have been a professional! Lawyer or snooker star? Not sure what is best....
