CWJ Join The Dementia Action Alliance

There are over 800,000 people in the UK who suffer with dementia costing the UK £23 billion a year. This disease has the potential to ruin the lives of both sufferers and their carers. 1 in 3 people over the age of 65 will suffer dementia.

The Dementia Action Alliance is an organisation with the aim of generating a nation-wide response to dementia, by bringing together organisations across England, committed to transforming the lives of people with dementia and their carers. They are doing this by attempting to make the UK more dementia aware of the disease and its effects as well as making sure the general public know how to react and care for those suffering with dementia.

Clarkson Wright & Jakes are now members of the Dementia Action Alliance. We take great pride in giving quality advice especially in the finalisation of wills, powers of attorney and protecting assets from Inheritance Tax and the cost of long term care. We are also involved in Court of Protection work and contested probate and cases such as undue influence in the area of powers of attorney.

We are looking forward to working with the Dementia Action Alliance and bring more awareness to dementia in the UK.

CWJ are also a part of Dementia Friends an Alzheimer’s Society initiative which aims to educate the general public in understanding more about what it’s like to have dementia and the little ways you can help. One of our three Dementia Friends Champions provides a monthly information talk - to book your place on our upcoming seminars click here.
