Triathlon Trio

Andrew Wright (our managing partner) and Will Addis (Head of Employment) have both recently completed triathlons, one of Britain's fastest growing sports which seems to attract men in their 30s and 40s (like Will and Andrew!). Andrew competed in a London triathlon which involved a rather cold swim in the Serpentine. Will's triathlon was based in Tonbridge and, although the swim was in a warm indoor pool, the running and cycling disciplines involved rather more hills than the flat circuits in Hyde Park.

Andrew reported that his biggest challenge was getting a rather tight wetsuit on and off (all part of the race, of course) while Will had to cope with a lack of sleep thanks to the arrival of his third child only a couple of weeks before his event. Despite this difficulties, they both raised money for charity - in Andrew's case SPW Worldwide, a charity that supports children in the developing world. Will, on the other hand, raised money for Build Africa.

Finally, Nick Pace one of our five trainee solicitors is about to embark on his third triathlon in August. He has already taken part in the London Triathlon back in 2007 which involved a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride, and a 5km run to raise money for a charity called Back-Up. The charity helps those with spinal injuries and gives them support whilst helping them come to terms with their injuries. He then did the same again in August 2008 for fun and is planning on taking part again this year.
