Our online cost for each will is £99 inclusive of VAT. Included in the price is the storage of your wills*
You can also register your wills with Certainty. This is an online service which records where your wills are stored for future reference. If you register your wills with Certainty direct there would be a charge of £60.00. Because we are members of the organisation we charge a reduced fee of £23.00 for each will. If you would like this service please tick the appropriate option when you come to pay for your wills.
You will prepare the wills based on a number of questions and answers. As you work through the documents have in mind the information provided in this guidance note.
Please click "Get Started". You will then start to prepare the wills. When you are happy with the documents you can pay for them. Your wills are then e-mailed to this office. We will then telephone you to discuss your documents in more detail. If any changes need to be made we will discuss any additional costs involved before finalising the document.
Approach these wills like walking up a ladder, one step at a time. Consider the following:
- The Surviving Spouse. On first death normally everything is left to the survivor with him or her as the sole executor. On the death of the survivor
- Executors. If you are leaving money to young children you will need more than one Executor. It is important that they are trustworthy. You may want to have professional Trustees. Click here for information on the CWJ Estates Service.
- Guardians. Choose a couple or a single person to look after any young children.
- Gifts. These could be:
- money to a favourite charity or to an individual or
- specific items eg your personal jewellery.
You may want to make a gift to your Executor in return for acting on your behalf.
- Residue. If you leave children consider dividing what is left to them equally. Young children will take their share at eighteen. Until then the Trustees will invest the money for them. The Trustees can pay for things like education and clothing.
You need to consider what would happen if any of your children die before you. Ordinarily this share would pass to their children or back to the surviving family.
- Final Default Provision. Consider the position if the whole family dies together. You can then make provision for family, friends or charities.
