Andrew was a commercial litigator with two leading London firms for more than a decade before joining CWJ in 1997, initially to specialise in personal injury claims then to resolving disputes about Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
Since 2006, Andrew has handled a number of complex and emotionally charged claims, most of which have arisen primarily from the break-down of relationships within families.
He believes that his experience of resolving disputes in both the commercial and personal fields of law has equipped him with the ideal balance of skills required to be a truly effective adviser to the increasing number of people requiring help to resolve disputes of this kind.
Andrew's approach is to try to avoid having to rely on his 26 years of experience in litigating cases in Court, preferring instead to attempt to achieve the best settlement possible for his clients as early as possible. An early settlement not only saves clients costs and stress, but also increases the prospects of repairing some of the inevitable damage to important family relationships caused by disputes of this kind. He believes that litigation should be very much the last resort.
Andrew enjoys anything sports-related and (still) plays rugby and cricket - rumours of impending retirement are unfounded!

WISH FOR THE YEAR
For justice to remain accessible to all, despite the best efforts of the Government; to remain relevant to my daughter (parents of pre-teens will know what I mean!), and for England to reclaim the Rugby World Cup this autumn.
