Josie qualified as a solicitor in August 2013 and is a member of the Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team.

Having graduated in History and Politics in Manchester, Josie studied for a PGCE at the University of Cambridge.  She then taught for six years at a primary school near Maidstone before joining the Corporate & Commercial team at CWJ as a paralegal in August 2008. She studied the Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law before completing the LPC and graduated with an LLB in summer 2012.

Josie, now a senior lawyer in the Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team, has experience in a variety of cases involving road traffic accidents, occupiers’ liability, psychiatric injury, medical negligence and criminal injuries. Within her first year in the department she was successful at trial.

In her spare time Josie enjoys playing badminton and running half-marathons.

Claim to fame

When I was a student, I was once stopped on the street and asked my opinion on David Beckham wearing a sarong. A few hours later, to my horror, the ‘interview’ featured on local television. My response was really long and made no sense whatsoever because I was trying so hard to sound cool.
