Pritti trained as a solicitor at Fisher Meredith LLP. She qualified there in January 2001 and spent the next four years in a thriving team, developing a solid foundation in employment law acting for both employees and employers.
In March 2005, Pritti moved to Thompsons, a leading claimant employment rights firm in London, where she exclusively advised trade unions and their members. Whilst in the Employment Rights Unit at Thompsons, Pritti gained valuable experience of high quality and complex employment cases. Additionally, she provided employment law training workshops and advice clinics for union officials.
Pritti was pleased to join the Employment Team at CWJ in August 2007.
EXPERTISE
Pritti's specialism is acting for employees. She has extensive experience of advising and representing individuals, including directors and senior executives, in a variety of employment matters ranging from Compromise Agreements and internal grievance and disciplinary hearings to unfair dismissal and all areas of discrimination.
Over the past 10 years, Pritti has been instructed by individuals in matters before the employment tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal, various professional disciplinary tribunals and at a high -profile Independent Public Inquiry.
Pritti provides training seminars and webinars on employment law and human resources issues and regularly writes articles for the local press and business publications. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
RECENT SUCCESS
- Representing an employee in tribunal proceedings against a prominent national insurance company. The employee successfully recovered a significant award of compensation in respect of the employer's failure to make reasonable adjustments and for harassment under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
- Securing an exit strategy for a senior executive complaining of bullying and harassment.
- Reversing the decision of the Independent Safeguarding Authority to place a client on the Vetting and Barring Lists.
