PROFILE
Pritti trained as a solicitor at Fisher Meredith LLP. She qualified there in January 2001 and spent the next four years in a thriving team, developing a solid foundation in employment law acting for both employees and employers.
In 2005, Pritti moved to Thompsons, a leading claimant employment rights firm in London, where she exclusively advised trade unions and their members. At Thompsons, she gained substantial experience of high quality and complex employment cases. Additionally, she provided training to trade union officials and ran employment advice clinics for trade union members.
She was pleased to join the Employment team at CWJ in August 2007.
EXPERTISE
Pritti's specialism is acting for employees. She has a diverse caseload which includes :
- Representation on all employment tribunal claims
- Negotiation of employment contracts and directors' service agreements
- Advice on the terms and effect of signing Compromise Agreements
- Advice on internal disciplinary matters and drafting grievance and appeal submissions
- Advice on TUPE transfers
- Advice on redundancy, including collective consultation and protective awards
- Advice on post-termination restrictions
- Advice on proposed changes to contracts of employment
- Advice on all family friendly rights, including maternity leave and the right to request flexible working
- Assistance with requests to work beyond retirement age
SUMMARY
Pritti has extensive experience of representing individuals, including directors and senior executives, in a broad range of employment issues from unfair dismissal to all areas of discrimination. She has represented individuals at the employment tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal, before various professional disciplinary tribunals and at a prominent independent Public Inquiry.
Pritti provides training seminars on a variety of employment law issues and regularly writes articles for the local press. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
