Holiday Accident Leads to Five-Figure Compensation Settlement

A woman travelling on holiday in the USA (where medical costs are extremely high) was injured when a car park boom was lowered in error, causing lacerations to her head that required a visit to hospital and several stitches.

The accident happened near the beginning of her family's transcontinental trip and the stitches had to be removed some time later. This required another hospital visit which took place on the opposite side of the country. She was left with permanent scarring to her forehead.

She pursued a personal injury claim against the owners of the car park and a five-figure compensation settlement was negotiated on her behalf.

Having a holiday ruined by an accident or illness is very unfortunate, but where it is the result of someone else's negligence, taking expert legal advice can at least help you secure appropriate compensation.
