At CWJ we understand the importance of providing meaningful work experience for those looking to kick start their career in law. Our work experience program is designed to provide participants with a working knowledge of a full-service law firm. Our program will give participants a real life insight into different legal disciplines and help them discover where their passion lies. In addition, our program gives participants relevant experience and provides something to talk about in interviews.
Participants will receive a personalised experience dependent on which discipline of law is of most interest. Whilst gaining practical experience in your preferred field, our work experience program also includes:
- Information sessions with each legal department including Family, Corporate and Commercial, Property, Employment, Estate Administration, Personal Injury, Litigation and Notary.
- Information sessions with support departments including HR, Marketing and Finance.
- Where possible, observing and witnessing client meetings.
- Where possible, reviewing and examining real legal cases.
We are now accepting applications to participate on our 2024 program which runs from July to September. The closing date for applications is 31st March. Spaces on our work experience program are limited and successful candidates will be selected by a management panel. Successful candidates will be contacted in early April.
