CWJ recently sponsored a golf day hole in one competition for Selection Services PLC, an IT support and solutions company based in Bromley, Kent.
The lucky winner was Joe Bichard of Walker Greenbank PLC. He won his £20,000 prize by achieving a hole in one on the 147 yard number 13 hole at the Warwickshire Golf Club. Number 13 was certainly a lucky number for Joe!
Joe was presented with his cheque by Andrew Wright and Vince White Sales Director of Selection Services PLC. Joe commented - I wasn't immediately sure that the ball had gone in the hole, although I'd heard some cheering from some people up near the green. So, I dropped my pitching wedge and charged down the fairway. Once I definitely knew I'd got a hole-in-one, I started dancing back down the fairway towards the tee, shrieking with delight. It caused quite a commotion and afterwards, in the bar, there was a real buzz of excitement. Apparently, I may have to lose my amateur status for a while having won more prize money that some pros do in a year!
