CWJ has become a founding member of the Bromley Community Fund.
The Bromley Community Fund is an exciting new charitable venture set up to support the London Borough of Bromley now and long into the future – responding over time to the changing needs and hardships faced by local people.
Donations given to the Bromley Community Fund are invested as an endowed fund with the interest used to make charitable grants year on year. The capital sum is never touched, continues to grow and provides a lasting source of support for charities and community organisations. In a groundbreaking initiative to support the creation of local endowments, the Government is providing donors with £50m of matched funding across England. Until March 2011 the fund is able to match gifts from companies and individuals on a pound for pound basis.
