CWJ are hosting a workshop with Home Instead, specialised home care, to provide you with a safe space to talk openly about how to support a loved one living with Dementia.
The session will take place at our office in Knoll Rise, Orpington on 23 May 2024 between 10am and 1pm.
The workshop will provide you with a safe space to talk openly about concerns and how to support a loved one living with Dementia and will address the following topics:
- Why has your loved one's behaviour changed?
- Using the right language & terminology
- How to process the behavioural change in your loved one
- Understanding different types of dementia and the associated behaviours
- Wandering (walking with purpose)
- Restless nights
- Loneliness & isolation
- Nutrition & hydration
- Communication with your loved one
- Signposting to local dementia services & support groups
- Self-care and the importance of looking after yourself.
