Clarkson Wright & Jakes has named Queen Victoria Hospital Charity as its Charity of the Year, launching a programme of fundraising and community support with an ambitious target of raising £10,000.
The law firm, which serves private clients and organisations across the South East, will organise a series of fundraising events and activities over the next 12 months to support the charity and raise awareness of the vital work it carries out.
This dedicated hospital charity supports the specialist work of Queen Victoria Hospital, an NHS hospital in East Grinstead known internationally for its expertise in reconstructive surgery, burns care and other complex treatments. The Charity partners closely with the hospital to enhance holistic care and support for patients and staff, advance research and innovation, and improve patient spaces through projects that go beyond core NHS funding.
Staff from across Clarkson Wright & Jakes will take part in a range of initiatives throughout the year, with the aim of raising funds while supporting a hospital that treats patients from across the South East and beyond.
Amanda Mehlin, Managing Partner at Clarkson Wright & Jakes said:
“We are delighted to support Queen Victoria Hospital Charity as our Charity of the Year. The hospital provides life changing treatment for patients across the region and the charity plays a vital role in helping to fund initiatives and support that make a real difference to people and their families. Our teams are looking forward to getting involved in fundraising activities throughout the year.”
Camilla Lane, Head of Fundraising and Voluntary Services, from Queen Victoria Hospital Charity said:
“We are so grateful to be partnering with the team at Clarkson Wright & Jakes over the coming year. Many of the patients who come to Queen Victoria Hospital face long and often challenging treatment journeys particularly following burns, trauma or cancer. The company’s fundraising this year will help us continue to invest in initiatives and projects that will make a real difference to patients.”
This partnership forms part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities in which it works, with a focus on making a positive and lasting impact beyond its legal services.
Fundraising updates will be shared throughout the year via the firm’s social platforms.
