Peter Giblin, our Senior Partner, is celebrating 40 years with CWJ.
Peter's first steps at CWJ were on a month's work experience placement in March 1975, and he was made a fully-fledged member of staff later that year at the age of 24. He obviously excelled as he was made a partner in 1979 when only 27.
In January 2007, Peter was appointed Senior Partner and has proved to be a great envoy and leader. However, in his own inimitable style he claims that: "I don’t actively lead, but people do follow!"
At a presentation to mark Peter's milestone with the firm, Managing Partner, Andrew Wright reflected: "Peter has been an excellent ambassador for the firm, and for a very long time! He is the glue that holds CWJ together; I think the firm is in his DNA. He has done some fantastic work as a conveyancer - one of the most stressful disciplines for any lawyer, yet Peter shows no sign of slowing down. It is a real pleasure to have been in business with him since I became a partner over 25 years ago."
