Christmas shopping at CWJ

On Wednesday 21st November, Orpington law firm, Clarkson Wright & Jakes hosted a Christmas shopping evening at their office in aid of The Chartwell Cancer Trust (The CCT).

Over 150 shoppers were welcomed with a free glass of prosecco on arrival and invited to visit over 18 stallholders selling a fabulous range of Christmas gift ideas, from jewellery and bags to chutneys and hampers.

The evening concluded with a few words from one of The CCT’s Trustees, Paula Cook, who also drew the raffle, prizes of which were donated by stallholders.

Many thanks to everyone who came along and all the staff at CWJ who helped run the event. The evening was a great success with over £1,200 being raised for the charity. This fantastic amount will contribute towards a pioneering technology project supported by The CCT, in the form of funding compact portable robots for children who are undergoing treatment for a long-term illness.

The CCT are working with Norwegian company No Isolation to expand the use of this technology in the UK and introducing these life-changing robots in hospitals and schools across South London and Kent.
